Will this thing ever run out? : Eveready LED Economy 1D Size Flashlight with Battery (2 Pack)
Except for two issues, this one would be a 5-star Plus. The first is the manufacturer's attempt at economy with the case. Though this is a 1-D-Cell light, the case was made for - and accepts - two cells. But since the LED bulb is rated for only 1.5 volts, two batteries producing 3 volts will probably fry the bulb in short order.
The second problem is the cheap bulb holder. This one uses a 'doughnut' plastic ring to keep the bulb in place. But that exposes the end of the bulb to potential crushing if the light is dropped - the heavy D-cell has nothing to stop it in the forward direction.
My remedy for the latter problem is to remove the bulb and put it into another light. As it happens, a local Big Box store sells a 2-AA cell flashlight (for $1) with the proper sort of bulb holder. Switching out the bulbs and putting a "dummy" battery in the bottom solves both problems.
The tradeoff is shorter burn time - an AA battery is simply much smaller than a D size. Still, I've operated my creation for 5 straight hours with no visible diminishing of the light.
By the way, for another excellent light which doesn't need any tinkering, try this one:

The manufacturer isn't lying about the run time - I tested one with some indifferent old batteries and found it still producing adequate light 36 hours later.
If you can remember the Economy 1-D light uses only one battery and take care not to ever drop it, it has at least 2/3 the brightness of the 3-LED Energizer. And it is lots cheaper.
